TOKYO — The Environment Ministry said Monday that the government-led “Cool Biz” no-tie, no-jacket campaign this summer helped companies in Japan reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 1.4 million tons, which is equivalent to the amount emitted from 3 million households in a month.
